Week #2 – January 8 – 15, 2010 was off the charts – again!

Every year we leave Hedo thinking that it was the best trip ever. And when we return the following year we think it will be tough to beat the prior year. This year was no different.

 For us, we missed Hedo in 2009, so there was a lot of catching up we had to do to make up for lost time…and boy did we get a lot of help from everyone. Without a doubt, this was an incredible week with more than 150 rooms booked by Tom’s Trips. There were lots of regulars, a bunch of friends returning after taking a few years “off” from Hedo, and even better…plenty of fresh meat to go around. And we were lucky to have Sandy Jones at the front desk ensuring everyone’s room was ready and checked in with a smile. Suzy there with us as our crazy entertainment coordinator, and Larry and Deb as our co-host couple to help back us up.

 Whether you were looking to perfect that tan, play beach volleyball, scuba dive, hook up for a nooner, or just drink pina coladas with Meyers floaters all day – this week had a little bit of everything. (And Jenn made sure she did just that – a little bit of everything!)

 Saturday – Rude t-shirts: Since Saturday is a travel day for most people, we try to keep the theme simple – yet fun. As the old saying goes, “Honesty is the best policy.” Well Lifestylers really showed Hedo how honest they are on Saturday with Rude T-Shirt night. The dining room was filled with women conveniently bending over to read people’s shirts. Ahhhh, atmosphere! Even Mega, one of Hedo’s entertainment coordinator’s got in on the act, of course with Ron’s help no less; mmmm what will they say at home about him now! J

  Sunday – Naughty School Girls: On Sunday evening, Tom’s Trips hosted a cock ‘n tails party in the disco where we held a drawing for some free nights at Hedo II, a piece of jewelry, a free catamaran cruise for two, and more. Then we headed to the dining room where we found lots of naughty school girls, and even some naughty school boys and principals. The principal even had a board to spank the really naughty ones.

 Monday – Zipline adventure, wine tasting party, Reggae night and hospitality suite: Early Monday morning Jenn and Ron took a small group on a new adventure – ziplining through the Jamaican jungle. And in true Hedo fashion, the girls didn’t disappoint anyone and quickly took off their tops. Two of the wild ones even got naked and put on their harness for the last zipline. Boy were the zipline guides surprised when they came flying in with their legs spread wide! (Ziplining will be put on the schedule for next year’s 2011 tour) Later on at happy hour, we hosted a wine tasting party with a selection of wines provided by Hedo and by Tom’s Trips guests who brought in their favorite vintages. After dinner, we offered a private hospitality suite exclusively for Tom’s Trips guests. Candles, moonlight and Enigma really set the stage for an intimate evening with lots of people leaving with sinful looking grins on their faces.

 Tuesday – Playboy Bunny, Hef or PJ’s: After a day of fun in the sun, the PJ party was a hit with lots of Playboy bunnies running around! After dinner, everyone socialized by the bar and danced the night away to the tunes of an incredible band. Once the disco opened, everyone piled in for the PJ contest and some more wild fun.

 Wednesday – Wild sunset cruise and “anything goes”: After flashing a few other boats, we headed to an area for some frolicking in the water, water sliding, and good old cannonballs. And to top things off, three of Tom’s Trips newest guests impressed everyone with a triple decker naked waterslide with two sexy ladies and one very lucky guy. Of course on the way back, everyone got a little frisky with the sea air. Or maybe it was the rum punch?

 Thursday – Toga/White Party: Okay let’s face it, whether you wear a toga or all white, it’s all a costume because there are no virgins at Hedo. (At least not after we left!) The dining room was filled with beautifully tanned women (and men) all dressed in white, some in togas, some in sheets, and others in sexy white outfits. Later that night, Ron had the water slide opened and Jenn ran through the disco to recruit people to get naked and go cool off on the slide.

 Friday – Beach party brought to you by Toms Trips: To end the week on a high note, Hedo management thanked Tom’s Trips guests for their continued patronage and hosted the gala on the beach. The prude beach was cleared, a huge stage was built, food stations in beautifully decorated huts served a variety of foods including seafood, pasta, salads, soups, sushi and more. Large tables were set up everywhere on the beach, bars were plentiful, and torches lit the way to the beach. After dinner, the musical entertainment began and the dance floor was packed until the disco finally opened up. It wasn’t long before Jenn was found crawling through the people in the disco and getting more recruits for the water slide once again.  

Another year?

So are we in for next year? Absolutely! As a matter of fact, Sandy tells us that more than 80 couples had booked for the same week next year before we even left Hedo. And the calls keep coming in. Those who had a great time are eager to get back next year to try and top it. We’ve already got a lot of great ideas for next year, and hope to change a few themes again to keep spicing things up a bit. Our goal is to increase to at least 200 rooms booked by Tom’s Trips next year so game on! Who knows, maybe we’ll be able to do a complete resort takeover in a few years.

 We look forward to seeing everyone again at another Tom’s Trip adventure. Perhaps we’ll see you at a convention in 2010, or if you ever make your way to Long Island, NY, be sure to give us a shout and maybe we’ll meet up for a drink or two! Otherwise, we hope to see you in Hedo 2 in 2011.
