Travel Insurance

Important Notice

Tom’s Trips is not an official licensed insurance company and therefore does not sell travel insurance.  We HIGHLY recommend that you purchase travel insurance for your trip.  It is best to purchase travel insurance when you book your trip.

Why Buy Travel Insurance?

Travel Insurance may be able to cover you in unforeseen circumstances.
• In case you have to cancel or cut your trip short due to a family medical emergency, natural disaster, or vendor bankruptcy.
• You will be covered for overseas medical expenses and emergency transportation to the United States.
• You will get money to help cover the costs of lost or stolen baggage.
• You have a 24/7 travel assistance program available to help you with travel emergencies.
If you don’t purchase travel insurance, your deposit or final payment will not be refunded outside of the terms on your invoice.

Tom’s Trips recommends:
Before purchasing, take time to research the different travel insurance companies and policies available to find the one that best fits your individual needs. Coverage options can vary, so compare plans that include protection for airline cancellations or delays, lost luggage, trip interruptions, and medical emergencies.

It’s also a good idea to read reviews and compare different insurance companies, as well as ask other frequent travelers what insurance providers they trust and use.

Additionally, check with your major credit card companies — many offer built-in travel insurance benefits when you pay for your trip using their card. These perks can sometimes include trip cancellation, baggage protection, or emergency medical coverage, depending on the card type and issuer.

A little extra research now can make all the difference in protecting your investment and peace of mind while traveling.
