Breaking News – Sangster Airport in Montego Bay Update

October 29th, 2025 by Tom Sheehan

Tom’s Trips has received confirmation from Jamaica’s Transport Minister that Sangster International Airport (Montego Bay) will re-open for relief flights starting at 10:00 AM on Thursday.
Officials are currently assessing how soon commercial flights will resume, and early reports suggest that could happen soon.

We are still waiting for official updates regarding road conditions from Montego Bay to Hedonism Resort, but the Jamaican Tourist Board is working tirelessly to restore tourism access and get the island back to welcoming guests as quickly as possible.

For those wanting to help both our Hedonism family and families across Jamaica, donations can be made to Hedonism’s official foundation at www.HedoCares.com.
💯 100% of all funds go directly to those in need, and anything not needed by staff will be used to assist the surrounding communities.

Hurricane Melissa Hedonism Resort Update

October 28th, 2025 by Tom Sheehan

Hedonism Resort Hurricane Update

We’re relieved to share that Hedonism Resort in Negril, Jamaica is still standing strong following the hurricane. There are no reports of major damage—only downed trees and other minor cleanup issues. We are still waiting for all staff to check in and confirm their safety.

A more detailed update will be shared in the next few days once Hedonism Resort, the airport, and road conditions have been fully assessed.

For those asking how they can help, the best way right now is to donate to the Hedo Cares Foundation (https://hedocares.org/). 100% of all donations go directly to help those in need, with funds first assisting the resort’s staff as they clean up and recover. Anything not needed by staff will be used to support the surrounding Negril community as they rebuild and restore.

If you have trips booked for November, please give us a few days to gather updates and confirm logistics before worrying. We’ll share another detailed update soon. ❤️🇯🇲
